Morning Yoga Practice

My typical 20 Minute morning yoga practice to awaken and centre

Howdy friends!

Thank you for being here. I love this Substack community, the conversations had on (and off) this platform, borne from creative and critical thinking alike.

Abigail Coomber is a reader-supported artist, writer and yoga teacher. To receive new posts and support my work directly, please consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Because of your generous contribution to my work as an artist, yoga teacher (and studio owner! Eeep!), writer and general self-employed creative, you are regularly gifted not only with specific written posts, but also with recorded practices. That you have on demand, anytime, anywhere!

My first ‘video’ offering (see my other audio meditations on my Dashboard) is a 20 minute morning practice. This is straight from my practice, to you— which is pretty much how I teach my in-person classes anyway!

The asana or movement aspect of this class is designed to open and awaken certain joints and regions of the body, after a night’s rest. We then sink into a short meditation for spaciousness, clarity and to ground.

Though no props are required, if you like your supports in your practice, have them nearby (even a cushion). To add extra depth and immersion to your practice, play this 20 minute Playlist in the background.

Be sure to let me know how you go with this practice, it’s meant to be simple, effective, and be repeated for your health and vitality.

All my love,

Abigail x
